Maceió, September 23, 2019 - Braskem disagrees with the suggestion for indictment of its executives as determined in the CEI report (Special Commission of Inquiry) of the Chamber of Councilors of the Municipality of Maceió. The CEI report brings no new facts or further information to the ongoing investigation and it presents relevant legal inconsistencies. 6p1cj

The company reiterates that it has always cooperated with the investigation,  attended all the hearings scheduled by the authorities and provided all the requested information.

Besides, Braskem is committed to contributing with the authorities to identify causes and solutions for the events affecting the districts of Pinheiro, Mutange and Bebedouro, in Maceió, and has cooperated by adopting the required emergency measures defined in the of Cooperation signed with the Federal and State Public Prosecutor's Office, the Municipality of Maceió and CREA-AL.

Braskem reaffirms its commitment and responsible actions towards the people of Alagoas, where it has been operating for more than 40 years.
